Answer: How to place music on an iPod using Program: “iTunes”
1. PLUG iPod into the USB port located at the front or back of the computer.
2. OPEN the iTunes program.
3. GO to “file”
4. CLICK button “sync iPod” (only performed one time throughout entire use)
5. DRAG and DROP music from library to iPod located on the bar to the left
6. Safely REMOVE iPod using the safely remove hardware from the bottom right hand corner on the bottom “start” bar.
7. UNPLUG iPod.

If the music is on iTunes, use the USB cable that came with the iPod and plug it in connecting the 2
You need to connect the iPod to your computer with the USB wire that came along with your iPod.
Then, open iTunes. In the left column, beneath ‘Devices’, you should see your iPod. Click on it. In the General tab, click on the ‘Sync’ button. This should automatically sync all of the songs from your iTunes, into your iPod.
To remove your iPod, hit on the ‘Eject’ button in the left-hand column, and unplug your iPod.

I always have my ipods set to manually manage so that I can use my ipod on any computer I come across without difficulties.. But if you have yours set to auto sync I believe there should be a sync ipod button in one of the menus at the top of the screen. If you want to do it manually just go to the screen that has the picture of your ipod and shows how much space you’ve used and check the box that says manually manage music. Then go back to your library click file, select all (if you need to put everything in your library on your ipod) and just drag and drop everything in at the same time. Just as easy as auto sync but gives you more options in the long run.
-Click on {insert iPod’s name here}
-Click on “Music” tab and make sure everything is checked off.
-Click “Apply”
